traffic advisory – hoover football friday night

Hoover Police is gearing up for Friday night’s football game between the Hoover Bucs and Mountain Brook Spartans, set to take place at 7:00pm at the Hoover Met. Additional officers will be on duty to assist with traffic and to provide extra security at the stadium.

NOTE: the first parking lot on the immediate left as you enter the complex on Ben Chapman Drive (shaded in yellow) will be CLOSED due to construction! There will be a fence prohibiting access to this lot!

Below are a few tips to help make traveling to and from the Hoover Met Complex as convenient as possible:

• Plan to arrive early. Lots open at 5:00pm, gates open at 5:30pm.

• On Stadium Trace, Football traffic should use the left lane. Residential thru traffic should use the right lane.

• Parents dropping off their child should utilize Champions Way. The Met has requested that the Champions Way “lower” parking lot be used by the visiting team fans if possible.

• Disabled access & reserved parking will remain in the “B” Lot, along the third base side of the stadium. More designated disabled parking spaces are in front of the stadium.

• Carpool to your event. Whether you are heading to the game or heading to shop, it’s always more fun with a group!

• When you exit, please be patient as you leave the Hoover Met Complex. Officers will be working to get you back home as safely as possible, but traffic could be congested.
