Hoover PD teamed up with The Wings of Hope Pediatric Foundation back in 2015. It has been an honor to help raise money and awareness for this wonderful organization that does so much for families with terminally ill children.
These throwback photos are from 2015, our first year to participate in No Shave November. That year, Hoover PD raised $25,100 out of $44,546.24 which put us in first place among local agencies.
Accepting the check from Chief Derzis in the first photo are co-founders Tonya Willingham and the late Dr. Dan Trotman. Dr. Trotman passed away in 2021. He helped provide countless services for hundreds of families, and his legacy still lives on today.
