pink badges for the boys!

“Hope is like the sun, which, as we journey toward it, casts the shadow of our burden behind us.”

The girls showed off their badges last week, now it’s time for the boys!

Hoover PD was one of the first departments in the nation, and THE VERY FIRST for manufacturer Smith & Warren Badges, to wear pink badges for breast cancer awareness month. HPD officers, two-legged and four-legged, are sporting their pink badges in October to help bring awareness to this disease that affects so many families.

It is an honor to recognize survivors, those who are currently in the fight, and those who have lost their battle.

Spread the word about mammograms and encourage communities, organizations, families, and individuals to get involved. The good news is that many can survive breast cancer if it’s found and treated early.
