National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day is Saturday April 27, 2024

Did you miss your chance to dispose of medications at Hazardous Waste Day? Well…

This Saturday April 27, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Hoover PD and the DEA will give the public an opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous, expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs (over the counter pills will be accepted also). Bring your pills for disposal to Hoover City Hall at 100 Municipal Lane. (We cannot accept liquids, needles or sharps; only pills or patches.)

The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked. You will be able to quickly and conveniently drive around City Hall and drop off your items. Please remain in your vehicle and Officers will assist you.

Medicines that remain in the home after expiration are highly susceptible to misuse and abuse.

Thank you for doing your part in making Hoover a safer place!
