Hoover Police completes Certified Sensory Inclusive training for 2023!
Last year, Hoover Police Department partnered with KultureCity to become Certified Sensory Inclusive.
What this means:
We receive annual training from KultureCity and have also equip HPD police Tahoes with sensory inclusive items to be available to those with sensory needs in an emergency situation. This initiative will help officers serve all citizens regardless of their sensory needs, mental health challenges or invisible disabilities. We are proud to announce that the entire Hoover Police Department officially completed the 2023 certification training course on March 14th!
And, Hoover residents: don’t forget about the Special Needs Notification Program! If you have a family member with special needs, you can let us know about vital information prior to first responders arriving to an emergency at your home:
