Hoover Police is Certified Sensory Inclusive

Hoover Police is Certified Sensory Inclusive

Did you know? Hoover Police Department partners with KultureCity!

KultureCity is a Birmingham based non-profit organization that provides yearly training to all sworn Hoover PD officers for continuing education. This helps to ensure HPD is setting the standard for police interactions with persons with autism, neurodivergent, and sensory-processing disorders.

In addition to this invaluable training, each HPD patrol vehicle is equipped with sensory inclusive items to be available to those with sensory needs in an emergency situation. This initiative helps first responders serve all citizens regardless of their sensory needs, mental health challenges or invisible disabilities.
