felony shoplifters: over $12,000

This pair is wanted for questioning in a felony shoplifting case that occurred at a local business. According to reports, the two worked together and broke the security devices on merchandise cages. They selected over $12,800 in merchandise, concealed it in plastic bags, then passed all points of sale without attempting to pay. Suspect vehicle is unknown.

It is possible that this same pair committed similar thefts in Tuscaloosa and Oxford.

Alabama Law: theft of property which exceeds $2,500 constitutes theft of property in the first degree.
