We continuously look for ways to improve communication with our residents. Not everyone is on social media, so we needed another way to allow as many people as possible to receive information directly from us.
One of the main improvements is the addition of a Progressive Web App (PWA): Our new site offers users a native app-like experience across all devices. Whether you’re using an Android, iPhone, Tablet, PC, or anything in between, you can now enjoy PUSH NOTIFICATIONS, subscribe to receive updates, and access digital resources from the Hoover PD site even when offline.
Downloading the HPD icon (app) to your device and subscribing can be done in a few steps. Using your internet browser, go to www.hooverpd.com.
1. click the “add to” icon at the bottom
2. click “add to home screen”
3. click “ADD”
4. click “ALLOW” when prompted if you want to subscribe
