another HPD Sro earns practitioner status

#WayToGoWednesday

We are proud to announce that another HPD School Resource Officer has reached one of the highest levels of achievement for an SRO: the status of National SRO Practitioner. Congratulations to Officer Tim Pugh!

The National SRO Practitioner program was established as a way for NASRO, police agencies, and school districts to recognize officers who have excelled in the area of school-based policing. The program seeks to distinguish those officers who are committed to serving our nation’s youth, along with the communities and schools they serve.

We are also pleased to announce that it is the goal of every HPD Resource Officer to obtain this status, and remaining officers in the SRO unit are currently working towards achieving their accreditation.

Congratulations to these officers for going above and beyond not only for the community they serve, but to each and every child in the HCS system. They pitch in where ever and whenever they are needed.
