Public Service Announcement from Hoover PD

Public Service Announcement from Hoover PD

Hoover residents, if you have a family member with special needs (for example, a child or an adult with autism, cerebral palsy, or Alzheimer’s/dementia patients) there is a way for you to communicate those needs with us prior to an emergency situation.

You can contact our Public Safety Communications Center and request a “notification” be placed on your address. Communications Center personnel can create a notification “flag” in our dispatch system which would alert the Dispatcher on duty to relay the pertinent special needs information to First Responders (Police/Fire) prior to their arrival at your address.

Information needed from the family (kept confidential):
Address
Special Needs Information
Emergency Contact Name
Emergency Contact Numbers (several, if possible)

These requests should be made to:

Allison Rector
Communications Center Supervisor 205-444-7829 Office
Hours 800am until 400pm

Linda Moore
Communications Center Supervisor 205-444-7667 Office
Hours 1100am until 700pm
